Signing In on Mobile
You can sign in to the Oppex mobile app in three ways: with your email and password, with your Google account, or with your phone number and a one-time code sent by text message. Use the same Oppex account you use on the web.
The sign-in screen opens on Sign in with email. Tap Login with phone OTP to use your phone number instead, and Sign in with email to switch back.
Sign in with email and password
- Under Sign in with email, enter your Email address and Password.
- Tap Sign In.
Use the password you use for Oppex on the web. To reset a forgotten password, use Forgot your password? on the web sign-in page, then sign in on your phone with the new password.
Sign in with Google
- Tap Continue with Google.
- Choose the Google account that uses your Oppex email address.
Google sign-in works on mobile only if your organization allows it under Organization Preferences. If it is turned off, Oppex refuses the Google sign-in, and you need to sign in with your email and password or your phone number instead. See Organization Preferences. On Android, Google sign-in also needs Google Play Services on the phone.
Sign in with your phone number
- Tap Login with phone OTP.
- Under Let's verify your number, enter your 10-digit mobile number.
- Tap Send OTP.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the text message. The app signs you in as soon as all six digits are entered. You can also tap Sign in.
Oppex finds your account by the Contact number on your profile. If the number you enter is not saved there, the app shows "This number [number] is not registered with Oppex." Check it on the web under Settings → Personal. The country code is fixed at +91, and the app notes "We currently support India-based numbers only". Sign in with email or Google if your number uses another country code.
If the code does not arrive or does not work
Each code works once and expires after 5 minutes.
- To get a new code, wait for Resend OTP in N Sec to count down from 59 seconds, then tap Resend OTP. You can request up to 5 codes in 30 minutes. After that, the app shows "Too many OTP requests. Please try again later."
- If you enter a wrong code, the app shows "Invalid OTP." After 3 wrong attempts, the code is locked and the app shows "Too many failed attempts. Please request a new OTP." Request a new code.
- If the code has expired or was already used, the app shows "No active OTP found. Please request a new one."
If the app shows "Your account has been deactivated. Please contact support.", your Oppex account is no longer active. Ask an administrator in your organization.
Which workspace you land in
After you sign in, the app opens a workspace you belong to. If you belong to more than one workspace, the side menu shows a Workspace row with the current workspace's name. Tap it to open Switch Workspace and choose another one. The app remembers your choice and opens that workspace the next time you sign in on the phone.
Stay signed in, and sign out
The app keeps you signed in when you close it or restart your phone. It renews your session in the background, so you are asked to sign in again only after about 30 days without opening the app, or if your session can no longer be renewed.
To sign out:
- Open the side menu.
- Tap Log Out, then tap Log Out again to confirm.
When you sign out, Oppex stops sending incident notifications to that phone until you sign in again.
Use more than one phone
You can be signed in on several phones at the same time, and each one receives your incident notifications. A phone receives notifications for one account only: the account that signed in on it most recently.
For what you can do in the app once you are signed in, see Mobile app alerts.
