Teams

A team groups the services and users your team manages together, so you can see them in one place instead of scattered across the Services and Users lists. Teams don't affect escalation or notifications — they're purely organizational.

Create a team

  1. Open Teams and click Create Team.
  2. Enter a Team Name and, optionally, a Description.
  3. Under Services, search and select the services this team manages.
  4. Under Standalone Users, search and select any users to include who aren't already covered by those services.
  5. Click Create Team.

For example, a Fellowship Platform team might group the One Ring Gateway service together with Gandalf and Aragorn as standalone members.

A team needs at least one service or user

Oppex blocks the save with "Attach at least one service or user to this team" if both are empty.

Team membership is never automatic

Adding a service to a team doesn't pull in that service's escalation policy members, and adding a schedule's roster doesn't happen either — every person or service on a team was added there explicitly.

Edit or delete a team

  1. Open the team's row menu and choose Edit or Delete.
  2. Deleting asks you to confirm — it can't be undone, and the team stops appearing in your Teams list. The services and users that were on it are unaffected.

FAQ

Who can create, edit, or delete a team?

Workspace Admin and above. Everyone else can view and search the Teams list, but the Create button and the row actions menu are hidden for them.

Can a service or user belong to more than one team?

Yes. Both are plain memberships — the same service or user can be added to as many teams as you like.

Does removing a service from a team affect its escalation policy?

No. Team membership is entirely separate from a service's escalation-by-severity mapping.
