MCP Server

The Oppex MCP server lets an AI assistant, such as Claude Code, work with Oppex for you. You ask in plain language, and the assistant chooses the tools below to answer or act. Each page describes one tool: what it does, what it needs, who can use it, and example prompts.

To connect an assistant, see Working with Oppex MCP Server.

How the tools behave

  • The assistant acts as you. Every tool runs with your Oppex account, so you can only do what your role allows in Oppex. Actions are recorded under your name.
  • One workspace per connection. Every tool works in the workspace that was active when you approved the connection. To use another workspace, switch it in Oppex and reconnect.
  • One incident at a time. There are no bulk actions. For a group of incidents or people, the assistant lists them, asks you to confirm, and then acts on each one.
  • Changes are confirmed first. The assistant confirms before it changes anything, unless your prompt already named the action and the incident, as in "Acknowledge incident cacgichh-efbg-jv3t1ufo."

What the assistant cannot do
