Deactivate a service

  1. Open Services.
  2. Select the service and choose Deactivate.
Oppex blocks deactivation while any incident on the service is unresolved

You'll see an error naming the open incident. Resolve every unresolved incident on the service first, then deactivate it.

Deactivating a service doesn't delete it — it stops accepting new alerts. Nothing about the service's history, past incidents, or configuration is removed.

FAQ

What happens to alerts sent to a deactivated service's integration key?

They're no longer processed into incidents.

Is the service's configuration removed when it's deactivated?

No. Its name, description, escalation-by-severity mapping, and integration key are all preserved — deactivating only stops it from accepting new alerts.
