Mobile App

The Oppex mobile app shows a push notification whenever an incident is assigned to you, and lets you acknowledge, snooze and resolve it from your phone. Push notifications are sent to every phone where you are signed in, whichever contact methods the escalation policy uses.

Set up the app

  1. Install the app on your phone:
  2. Open the app and allow notifications when your phone asks.
  3. Sign in with the same Oppex account you use on the web. See Signing In on Mobile.
  4. Raise a test incident, as described in Raising Your First Incident, and check that the notification arrives.
Let urgent incidents ring through silent mode

On iPhone you can turn on critical alerts for chosen severities, and on Android you can turn on Critical Alerts, so incident alarms play when your phone is silent. Both settings are in the app. The install pages above explain how.

Stop Alarm does not acknowledge the incident

Stop Alarm only silences the alarm on your phone. The incident stays assigned to you, and escalation continues until you tap Acknowledge.

For what the notification contains and how to act on it, see Mobile app alerts.
