Snooze multiple incidents

Snooze several incidents at once when you expect them to keep firing for a while, for example during planned maintenance. Oppex pauses notifications and escalation for the duration you choose, and notifies nobody.

Permissions

You can snooze only incidents that are currently assigned to you. This rule is the same for every role, including Owners and admins.

Snooze incidents

  1. In the Incidents list, select the incidents you want to snooze. See Select multiple incidents.
  2. In the bulk actions bar, open the Change status dropdown and select Snoozed. Oppex unticks incidents that are not assigned to you.
  3. Click Apply. The Snooze Incidents dialog opens and shows how many incidents will be snoozed.
  4. Select a duration: 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours.
  5. Optional: To enter a different duration, click Custom…, and then enter the hours and minutes.
  6. Click Apply & Snooze. Oppex shows "Snoozing the selected incidents."

The incidents move to Snoozed. When the snooze ends, each incident resumes escalation from the level it was on when you snoozed it.

Duration limits

One duration applies to every selected incident. The shortest snooze is 1 minute. The longest is your workspace's maximum snooze, which is 24 hours unless your administrator has changed it. The dialog shows the maximum below the presets.

FAQ

Why can't I snooze an incident assigned to a teammate?

Only the person an incident is currently assigned to can snooze it, whatever their role. Ask your teammate to snooze it, or acknowledge it instead if you belong to its escalation policy.

Can I give different incidents different snooze durations?

Not in one bulk action. Snooze them in separate batches, or snooze them one at a time.

Does escalation restart from the first level after a snooze?

No. Each incident resumes escalation from the level it was on when you snoozed it.
