SMS alerts

When the escalation policy uses SMS, Oppex sends a text message to the contact number on your profile. The message tells you that an incident is assigned to you. To act on it, open Oppex.

Permissions

Anyone the incident is assigned to receives the message. No role is needed.

What the message says

The message reads "Incident - <incident title> - assigned to you. Login to Oppex for details."

OPPXAI
Incident - Disk usage above 90% on db-02 - assigned to you. Login to Oppex for details.

To keep the message within carrier limits, Oppex shortens the title to 30 characters and removes characters outside the basic Latin alphabet, such as emoji. When an incident has no title, the message shows the incident ID instead.
